Stockholm ျမဳိ႕ရဲ႕ ဆင္ေျဖဖုံး ရပ္ကြက္ေလးမွာေမြးလာတဲ့ ဆိုဖီ ဇယ္လ္မာနီ ကုိ အသက္ ၁၄ ႏွစ္ မွာဖခင္ ကဂစ္တာ တစ္လုံးလက္ေဆာင္၀ယ္ေပးခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဘယ္လို အႏုပညာနဲ႔ ပတ္သက္တဲ့ သင္တန္းတစ္ခုခုကို မွ တက္ေရာက္ေလ့လာသင္ၾကားခဲ့ဘူးျခင္း မရွိ ခဲ့ေပမယ့္ ဆိုဖီ ဇယ္လ္မာနီ ဟာ သူဘာသာသူေရးတဲ့သီခ်င္းေလးတစ္ခ်ဳိ႕ကို သူျမဳိ႕က ေတးသံသြင္း စတူဒီယို ေလးမွာ အသံသြင္းယူခဲ့ပါတယ္။
ျပီးေတာ့ ေတးထုတ္လုပ္ေရး ကုမၸဏီ ၾကီး ၃ ခု ဆီကို စာတိုက္က ေန ေပးပို႕ခဲ့ရာမွာ ဆြီဒင္ႏိုင္ငံမွာ ေတးထုတ္လုပ္ေရးလုပ္ငန္းလုပ္ကိုင္ေနတဲ႕ ဆိုနီ ေတးထုတ္လုပ္ေရး လုပ္ငန္းၾကီးရဲ႕ ကမ္းလွမ္းမႈကိုလက္ခဲရရွိခဲ့ပါတယ္။
Sophie Zelmani ဆိုဖီ ဇယ္လ္မာနီ ရဲ႕ပထမဦးဆုံး အယ္လ္ဘမ္ကို လားစ္ ဟာလာပီ က စီစဥ္ပါတယ္ ပူးတြဲ ထုတ္လုပ္သူလည္း ျဖစ္ျပီး ဂစ္တာလည္း တီးသူပါ .သူ က အယ္လ္ဘမ္မ္ စတင္ထုတ္လုပ္ခဲ့ပုံကို ဒီလိုေျပာျပပါတယ္ "In the beginning Lars and I spent a few months in the studio. We had fun and then picked the musicians. We recorded in two weeks but the whole thing took half a year."
၁၉၉၇ ခုႏွစ္ မွေတာ့ သူ႕ရဲ႕ အယ္လ္ဘမ္မ္ ဟာ ဥေရာပနဲ႕ အာရွ ပစိဖတ္ေဒသ မွာ ဓါတ္ျပားအခ်ပ္ေရေပါင္း ၂ သိန္းေက်ာ္ ေရာင္းခ်ႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါတယ္ အျဒီေနာက္မွာေတာ့ သူဟာ အေမရိက ေစ်းကြက္ထဲအထိထိုးေဖါက္ႏိုင္ဖို႕ အတြက္ Columbia Records ဆိုဖီ ဇယ္လ္မာနီ ကဒီလိုေျပာပါေသးတယ္ "I had no ambitions to go abroad. I knew I wanted to make a record. That's all I wanted."
